PITTSBURGH, PA — The Steelers are on the verge of acquiring veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson from the Los Angeles Rams. The team is bringing in Robinson for a physical and if he passes, a trade to Pittsburgh is likely, according to multiple reports.

The cost to the Steelers to acquire Robinson is negligible. The Steelers and the Rams will swap 7th-round picks in the upcoming NFL Draft and the Rams will pick up $10 million of Robinson's $15 million contract this year with the Steelers assuming the rest.

Robinson, who will turn 30 before the season begin in September, was a second-round draft choice of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2014 after playing for Penn State in college. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2015.

After playing four seasons for the Chicago Bears in 2018-21, Robinson signed as a free agent with the Rams before the 2022 season. In an injury plagued season that saw him play only 10 games, Robinson logged 33 catches for 339 yards and three touchdowns.
