Steelers-Jaguars Clash Tops Pittsburgh's Weekend Events

There's also a winter carnival and an onstage Batman parody to keep you entertained.

PITTSBURGH, PA - It’s a known fact of life in southwestern Pennsylvania: If it’s January and the Steelers are still playing, there is no larger or more significant weekend event in Pittsburgh.

Such is the case this weekend, when the Steelers host the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday at 1 p.m. in an AFC divisional playoff game at Heinz Field. Win and the Steelers advance to the AFC championship game again. Lose and...let’s just say it’ll be one bleak Monday around town.

But let’s not contemplate that unlikely scenario. Instead, let’s contemplate what it will cost if you want to attend the game in person instead of watching it from the comfort of home or one of the city’s ubiquitous sports bars.

We checked a few websites and the cheapest Steelers-Jaguars tickets we could find started at $99. That’s fairly inexpensive for an NFL playoff game, but still would be more than enough to cover the cost of your beer and chips if you viewed it at home.
