Steelers Make Quarterback Change
The struggling Steelers have gone to another starter for Saturday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

PITTSBURGH, PA — No one wanted Mason Rudolph when he was an NFL free agent earlier this year. He ended up re-signing with the Steelers as the team's third-string quarterback.
On Saturday, he'll start for the Steelers against the Cincinnati Bengals to try to keep the team's increasingly unlikely playoff hopes alive. Coach Mike Tomlin made the announcement Monday at his weekly news conference.
"As I stand here today, Mason Rudolph is the guy with the ball," Tomlin said, although he did not unequivocally starting quarterback Kenny Pickett possibly returning to the lineup if he sufficiently recovers from an ankle injury.

Rudolph is replacing second-stringer Mitch Trubisky, who has started the past two games for the injured Pickett with disastrous results. The Steelers have lost three games in a row and have gone from a near-certain playoff appearance with a 7-4 record to 7-7 and currently out of the playoff mix.
Trubisky was the second overall player selected in the 2017 draft by the Chicago Bears but has been a largely inconsistent and ineffective quarterback throughout his career.
