Steelers, Nickelodeon Teaming Up For Heinz Field Family Fest

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Steelers begin training camp on Wednesday and one of the highlights of the preseason is certain to be the second annual Steelers Family Fest. The event occurs Aug. 19 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Heinz Field, but the fun begin earlier along Art Rooney Avenue outside the stadium.

This Steelers have teamed with Nickelodeon for this year’s festival. The children’s network will provide Nick-themed games that will include a super slime obstacle course, a slime booth, Nick bowling, costumed characters and more. In addition to the Nickelodeon activities, there will be a fan zipline experience, face painting and the obligatory appearance of team mascot Steely McBeam.

Fans entering the stadium will receive a scratch-off card with a chance to win sideline passes to go onto the field as the 2018 team will be introduced out of the player tunnel to begin the evening’s events.

In addition to the full team on-field practice, Family Fest will include Bill Camp’s Famous Flying Dogs, on-field performances by the Steeline Drumline and one lucky fan winning a trip for four to the Super Bowl. The festivities will conclude with a Sunday night Fireworks display.

There also will be the chance to get your photo taken next to all six Steelers’ Lombardi Trophies in the FedEx Great Hall and meet Steelers Alumni in the Ford Fanzone. A 50/50 raffle will be held to benefit Youth Football.
