Steelers-Ravens NFL Week 17: What You Need To Know

The Steelers hope to keep their minuscule chance of a playoff berth alive this week in Baltimore.

PITTSBURGH, PA — How likely is it that the Steelers will make the playoffs going into the second-to-the-last week of the NFL season with a pedestrian 7-8 record? Incredibly so, if the following happens:

  • The Steelers win out, first in Baltimore on Sunday night against the Ravens and then next week at Acrisure Stadium against the Cleveland Browns.
  • The Miami Dolphins lose to the New England Patriots on Sunday and then at home to the New York Jets last week.
  • The Patriots defeat Miami this week, but lose to the Buffalo Bills next week.
  • The Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars absolutely do not tie next week.

See? It's not complicated at all. Don't worry about the Steelers' lackluster performance two weeks ago at home against Baltimore. If they take care of business on Sunday and a lot of improbably things happen, a trip to the playoffs is probable.
