PITTSBURGH, PA - Acknowledging that an era for the Steelers ended with Antonio Brown's departure, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger admitted it will be difficult to replace the talented but mercurial receiver's production.
“Well, it’ll be different," Roethlisberger said while meeting with reporters Friday at Steelers training camp at St. Vincent College in Latrobe. “I think the things that we did together was some things that no one’s really ever done. Peyton (Manning) and Marvin (Harrison) maybe, I mean just in the last few years that we did it it was pretty special. So it’s going to be hard to make up for that."
After nine seasons with the Steelers, Brown was traded to the Oakland Raiders for draft selections. Ju Ju Smith-Schuster will lead a receiving corps that includes James Washington, Diontae Johnson, Eli Rogers and Ryan Switzer.
