Steelers' Roethlisberger To Open North Shore Restaurant

Jerome Bettis no longer will be the only person with Steeler ties to own an eatery near Heinz Field.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger used to share a backfield with Hall-of-Fame running back Jerome Bettis. Soon they will share North Shore Drive as the location of their respective restaurants.

Bettis has operated the successful Jerome Bettis’ Grille 36 near Heinz Field since 2007. Roethlisberger has inked a deal to open his North Shore Seven eatery in a new seven-story building being built across the street near the Hyatt Place Hotel near PNC Park, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

The restaurant is expected to open in the spring of 2019.

North Shore Seven will be the fifth establishment in Roethlisberger and business partner Scott Kier’s restaurant portfolio, but the first to open in Pittsburgh. The pair operate the Savannah Taphouse in Savannah, Georgia and three King Street Grille locations in South Carolina.
