The Steelers have dealt wide receiver Diontae Johnson to another team. Get the details here.

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Steelers are trading wide receiver Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers for cornerback Donte Jackson, according to multiple reports. The trade has not been officially announced pending the official beginning of the NFL year on Wednesday.

The teams also will exchange picks in this year's NFL Draft, with the Steelers getting a sixth-round pick - the 178th overall - and the Panthers getting a seventh-round pick, the 240th overall.

Johnson likely fell out of favor with the Steelers in November, when he made no attempt to recover a fumble that fell just a few steps from where he stood. The play made international headlines.

The trade leaves George Pickens at the team's top receiver, but the Steelers are now thin at the position and likely will have to address that issue via a free agency signing or the NFL Draft in April.
