Steelers Worth $2.45 Billion, Forbes Says

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Steelers didn’t reach the Super Bowl last year but their value jumped 9 percent and the franchise now is worth $2.45 billion, according to the Forbes' latest annual NFL team valuations.

It’s a testament to the NFL’s staggering financial success that the Steelers rank just 16th among the league’s 32 teams in worth. In fact, the Steelers are slightly below the average franchise value of $2.5 billion.

For the 11th straight year, the Dallas Cowboys are the NFL's most valuable team for the 11th straight year and the world’s most valuable sports franchise. Forbes calculated the Cowboys to be worth $4.8 billion, a 14 percent increase over last year.
