Storms, High Winds On The Way For Pittsburgh Area

The weather is about to take a turn for the worse in southwestern Pennsylvania.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Expect strong storms and heavy rain overnight in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Temperatures will fall to near 51 by 8 p.m. and then rise to around 59 during the night, with rainfall amounts of as much as half an inch possible.

Heavy rain also is possible Saturday, with temperatures climbing to near 63 by 11 a.m., then falling to around 51 for the remainder of the day. Wind gusts could be as high as 40 mph.
