MUNHALL, PA — The Steel Valley School District will consolidate its current two elementary schools into a new one that will put the district's entire student body on one campus.
School directors on Thursday awarded a general construction contract to Rycon Construction Inc. to build the new Steel Valley Elementary School. The building is expected to be completed in August 2026 in time for the start of the 2026-27 school year.
“The creation of this new school will be a historic achievement for the Steel Valley School District," superintendent Bryan Macuga said in a release. "Bringing together two elementary schools and having all students, kindergarten through 12th grade, learning on one campus, will transform how education is delivered within our district for decades to come."
