Suspect Arrested In Deadly Downtown Pittsburgh Shooting
The shooting in the Downtown Pittsburgh Cultural District left one man dead.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A suspect has been arrested in a fatal Downtown Pittsburgh shooting on Thursday.
Police apprehended Erique Collington, 18, of the Hill District shortly after the killing. He has been charged with criminal homicide, conspiracy, carrying a firearm without a license and other charges. He is being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
The shooting occurred shortly after 2 p.m. at Liberty Avenue and Seventh Street. According to Pittsburgh public safety officials, the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died in the hospital.

The victim was identified as Eugene Mance, 23.
Collington was apprehended on the North Shore a short time after the shooting. Three firearms were recovered, police said.
