Taylor Swift At Heinz Field: What You Need To Know

The pop superstar performs Aug. 7 at Heinz Field. Here are stadium rules and regulations and parking and traffic information.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Taylor Swift’s Aug. 7 concert at Heinz Field probably won’t rival some of Kenny Chesney’s shows at the stadium for rowdy behavior. But standard security guidelines will be in place, and fans should also be aware of the parking and traffic situations around Heinz Field.

Here’s what you need to know:

Where: Heinz Field, Aug. 7, 7 p.m.

Gates open: 5 p.m. Guests with floor or Snake Pit tickets must enter through Gate 6.

Parking

Parking lots open at 3 p.m., with various cash parking options available on the North Shore starting at $40. Public parking is available at the West General Robinson Garage, the North Shore Garage, at parking garages downtown and at Station Square. The majority of the Pittsburgh Parking Authority Lots downtown will have a rate of $10 for event day parking.

Fans also can also park Downtown and ride the T for less than $10. The First Avenue, Gateway or Wood Street stations can be used for transportation to the North Shore.

Parking lot conduct

  • Trash must be disposed of properly
  • The following are prohibited: solicitation of any kind, the sale of food and alcohol, glass containers, tents, personal port-a-johns, furniture (other than folding lawn chairs and tables), and oversized vehicles.

Traffic construction
The following construction impacts are in place because of the Parkway North renovation project:

  • I-279 HOV Access at Mazeroski Way and Anderson Street is closed
  • Route 28 Access to Madison Avenue is detoured to Chestnut Street
  • The Madison Avenue On Ramp is closed and traffic is detoured up East Street to the Hazlett Street On Ramp

Stadium bag policy

All bags are subject to inspection and must adhere to the NFL Clear Bag Policy. Fans are encouraged not to bring a bag, but if one is necessary these guidelines should be followed.

  • Masks
  • Animals (exception for certified service animals)
  • Aerosol cans
  • Banners with poles
  • Coolers, thermoses and/or ice chests
  • Distribution of unauthorized promotional or commercial material
  • Drones
  • Fireworks, road flares, emergency flares, explosives or other incendiary devices
  • Glass or metal containers of any style
  • Items that may be deemed a safety hazard or annoyance to participants or guests (balls, frisbees, projectiles, horns, radios, bells, whistles, musical instruments, laser pointers, etc.)
  • Umbrellas
  • Lights or battery packs
  • Long wallet chains
  • Political signage
  • Professional cameras
  • Purses larger than a clutch bag (see: HeinzField.com/bagpolicy)
  • Selfie sticks
  • Signs larger than 11″ x 17″
  • Spurs
  • Studded jewelry
  • Video cameras, GoPros, audio recording devices, and tripods; no video or audio recording will be allowed
  • Weapons of any kind
