Taylor Swift Ticketmaster Complaints Keep Rolling Into PA AG's Office
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro's office is being inundated with complaints over last week's Taylor Swift Ticketmaster debacle.

HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania Taylor Swift fans unable to get tickets for her 2023 Eras tour after Ticketmaster last week canceled the public sale of them are expressing their ire to state Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
A week ago, Shapiro solicited people displeased with Ticketmaster's handling of Swift ticket sales to contact his office. His office has received about 2,500 complaints since then, Shapiro communications director Jacklin Rhoads told Patch on Wednesday.
Swift is slated to play five Pennsylvania shows on her Eras Tour : May 12-14 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and June 16 and 17 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

But many fans in those cities and across the nation were left in the lurch after Ticketmaster abruptly announced there would be no general public sale of Swift tickets that was slated to begin November 17.
Greg Maffei, CEO of Liberty Media, Ticketmaster's largest shareholder, blamed Swift's popularity for the ticketing fiasco during a CNBC appearanace. He said a pre-sale event for verified Swift fans was supposed to be open to 1.5 million people, but 14 million hit the site.

Many of those who did get tickets appear to be scalpers. Two seats for Swift's May 13 show at Lincoln Financial Field were for sale for the less-than-bargain basement price of $7,336 on Vividseats.com. The least expensive ticket available was an upper level seat for $760.
As for ticket prices for Swift's Pittsburgh appearances: A single upper-level seat for her June 17th show was available for $577; the asking price for a pair of floor level seats was $10,880.
