Teen Charged In Pittsburgh-Area Homicide

Police have arrested a 16-year-old and charged him with killing a Pittsburgh-area man.

PITTSBURGH, PA —Allegheny County police have arrested a 16-year-old teen in connection with a homicide in Munhall last month.

Early on Nov. 15, county 911 was notified of a shooting in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue. First responders found a man with gunshot wounds inside an apartment. The victim, Dontae Hatcher, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said that investigators determined Raylon Williams, 16, was responsible for the shooting and also threatened a second person inside the apartment.

Williams was arrested Thursday and charged as an adult with homicide, illegal possession of a firearm by a minor and terroristic threats. He was arraigned this morning, denied bail, and is being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
