Teen Charged In Pittsburgh Double Stabbing After HS Football Game
Two girls were stabbed after a football game at a Pittsburgh area high school.
McKEES ROCKS, PA — A 17-year-old teen has been charged as an adult in connection with the stabbing two teens last Friday after a Sto-Rox High School football game. The incident occurred about a block away from the stadium.
Maniyah Turner, 17, surrendered at the Municipal Courts Building in Downtown Pittsburgh on Tuesday. She faces four counts of aggravated assault and is being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
The stabbings occurred during a large fight that broke out near the stadium, police said. The two girls were treated for injuries at Children's Hospital.

Per standard procedures, anyone who enters the stadium will be screened and re-entry will not be permitted. Additionally, no bags will be permitted.
"Our security team and district personnel worked hard to make sure last Friday’s game took place safely," Van Fossan said.
"When violence occurred off-campus, we worked hand-in-hand with law enforcement and EMTs to make sure those needing care received it, and that an investigation started right away. We want everyone in the Sto-Rox community - residents and visitors - to feel safe and enjoy great events in our schools."
In a letter posted on the Charleroi School District website, Superintendent Ed Zelich said three additional security staffers accompany the football team, band and cheerleaders to the game. Zelich said he and district athletic director Ashley Abbott also will be on the bus and stay near students during the game.
