Teen Stabbed In Downtown Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA — A 17-year-old teen was stabbed in broad daylight Thursday on a bustling Downtown Street.

Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said police were called to the 800 block of Liberty Avenue at the intersection with Strawberry Way just before 6 p.m. There, they found the teen with stab wounds to his upper back and shoulder; he was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The unidentified victim was assisted by people who took him into a nearby business and rendered aid until officers and medics arrived.

Police have not identified a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
