Terrelle Pryor Stabbing Suspect Held Without Bond
Shalaya Briston is accused of stabbing former NFL player Terrelle Pryor over the weekend at their North Side apartment.

PITTSBURGH, PA - The woman accused of stabbing former NFL player Terrelle Pryor during a fight Saturday remained in the Allegheny County Jail without bail Monday. The domestic incident, which occurred in the couple's North Side apartment, resulted in Shalaya Briston, 24, being charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
Pryor, 30, faces simple assault charges. He is expected to recover from his wounds after undergoing surgery.
According to police, the couple began arguing after Briston returned with friends from an evening out. During the altercation, Briston allegedly grabbed a sharp object and stabbed Pryor with a sharp object. He was taken to UPMC Mercy.

Pryor was a start quarterback at Jeannette High School and played for Ohio State in college. His NFL career, in which he primarily played wide receiver, included stints with the Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars this year but was released in August.
