TGI Friday's Mouse Infestation Discovered
Restaurant remains open after what a Friday's spokesman called a "thorough cleaning."

PITTSBURGH, PA - A TGI Friday’s location at The Waterfront remains open despite health inspectors discovering a mouse infestation during a visit Monday.
Inspectors found a decomposed mouse near the condenser to the bar cooler and a dead mouse under the expo station, according to the inspection report. Fresh droppings and nesting were discovered in a box of souffle cups that subsequently was discarded.
Droppings also were discovered at the bar under the cooler, in the manager’s office, in a storage office and under a kitchen counter access panel below microwaves.

Inspectors also found crumbs, debris and more droppings under booth cushions in the dining room.
The health department did not order the restaurant to close, but ordered corrective action that included the removal of droppings, the deep cleaning of floors and continued treatment for, and monitoring of, the mice problem.
