Thanksgiving 2018: Will Your Supermarket Be Open?
Check this Patch guide to see if your local grocery store will be closed on Thanksgiving.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Uh-oh! On Thanksgiving Day, you discovered you forgot to buy cranberry sauce and that's always Uncle Marvin’s favorite part of the dinner. What do you do?
Don't panic. Your usual grocery store might be closed in observance of the holiday, but plenty of supermarkets will be open so you can satisfy your uncle's cranberry cravings. Here are the places that are open in southwestern Pennsylvania the places that are not:
- Giant Eagle: Stores open 6 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Market District: Stores open 6 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Get-Go: Normal hours (gas-oly locations close at 4 p.m.).
- Shop'n Save: Most stores are open, but because they are independently owned, their hours vary. Contact individual stores for hours.
- Aldi: Closed.
- Kuhn's: Closed.
- Whole Foods: The Upper St. Clair and Wexford stores will be open 7 a.m.-4 p.m. The Shadyside store will be open 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Trader Joe's: Closed.
- Costco: Closed.
- Walmart: Opens at 6 p.m.
- Target: Opens at 5 p.m.
