Threat Made, Security To Be Upped At High School Football Game

O'HARA TOWNSHIP, PA - Security will be increased at tonight's Fox Chapel Area High School football game after tips were received Friday afternoon about a possible threat. The Fox Chapel website indicated two tipsters had heard another student had threatened to commit an act of violence at the game and rumors of the threats have circulated on social media.

For Fox Chapel's 7 p.m. game against Kiski Area, security will include a number of O'Hara Township and school district police officers, as well as school security guards and numerous school staff members. Police have identified the student who allegedly made the threats and the student is not allowed on school property.
