Three More Dead From Coronavirus In Allegheny County
Here are the latest coronavirus case numbers for Allegheny County and southwestern Pennsylvania.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department on Wednesday reported three new coronavirus deaths. The county death toll now stands at 251.
One of the victims was in the 50-64 age group. The other two were in the 65 or older age group.
The county reported 100 new cases out of 1,564 test results. Positive results are from tests that span July 10 through Aug. 5. The total number of cases in the county during the outbreak is 8,612.

In the newest cases, ages range from eight months to 101 years old with the median age being 42.
Seven hundred and thirteen people been hospitalized in the county during the outbreak. Twelve new hospitalizations were reported.

With 1,475 cases in Westmoreland County, 1,269 in Beaver County, 785 in Washington County and 624 in Butler County, that brings the total number of cases in the five-county region to 12,765 when Allegheny County numbers are included. That's up from 12,625 on Wednesday.
According to the state Department of Health, there have been 412 deaths in the region from the virus: Two hundred and fifty-one in Allegheny County County, 89 in Beaver County, 46 in Westmoreland County, 15 in Butler County and 11 in Washington County.
