Timberlake, Matthews, Chesney: Pittsburgh Superstar Weekend
The alternative music festival X-Fest also will occur in one of the biggest weekends for music Pittsburgh has seen in years.
PITTSBURGH, PA - This weekend promises to be a musically eventful one in Pittsburgh, as several of the biggest names in music will be in town as will an annual festival featuring some of the nation’s top alternative acts.
The action kicks off June 1 at PPG Paints Arena with entertainer Justin Timberlake, who performed the Super Bowl halftime show in February. Famous for hits such as “Suit & Tie,” “SexyBack” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” Timberlake is touring to support his most recent release, “The Man of The Woods, which was released in February.
Timberlake's last tour was the critically acclaimed "The 20/20 Experience World Tour," which sold out arenas and stadium in 2013-14. His most recent appearance in Pittsburgh was at the arena in December 2013.

Justin Timberlake tickets start at $49,50. If you don’t see him this time, it won’t be several years before his next Pittsburgh stop. He’ll return to the arena for another concert on September 25.

- Dave Matthews Band, June 1, 8 p.m. KeyBank Pavilion
A Pittsburgh-area favorite, Matthews is known for hits such as "Crash Into Me," "What Would You Say," "Satellite," and "Don't Drink The Water." He last appeared in Pittsburgh in September with Tim Reynolds at the Farm Aid show at KeyBank Pavilion. His last appearance here with his full band was in July 2016.
Matthews last week released a new single “Samurai Cop ()h Joy Begin)” from the upcoming album “Come Tomorrow,” which will be out June 8. It’s the band’s first studio album since 2012’s “Away from the World.”

- Kenny Chesney: June 2, 5 p.m., Heinz Field
Chesney returns to his usual local venue as part of his Trip Around The Sun Tour, which will feature songs from "The Big Revival" and "Cosmic Hallelujah" along with the favorite songs to which fans are accustomed.
Joining Chesney will be Academy of Country Music Male Vocalist and Country Music Association and ACM Single of the Year winner Thomas Rhett ("Die a Happy Man," "It Goes Like This," "Craving You, ACM Best New Group and CMA double nominee Old Dominion ("Break Up with Him," "Song for Another Time") and breaking through artist Brandon Lay ("Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers").

- X-Fest, June 2, 4 p.m. , KeyBank Pavilion
The 20th anniversary alternative rock festival from 105.9 WXDX-FM will be headlined by Jack White, formerly of the White Stripes, who has been touring in support of his third solo album, ‘Boarding House Reach.”
Also appearing will be Cold War Kids, AWOLNation, Sir Sly and LovelyTheBand.
X-Fest tickets start at $25.
