PITTSBURGH, PA - Fred Rogers would have turned 91 on Wednesday and to celebrate the birthday occasion Sony released a new photo from “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood,” the upcoming movie about him.

The photo shows Tom Hanks in Rogers’ trademark cardigan sweater in an apparent re-enactment of the opening sequence to “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.” While singing the song from which the movie gets its title, Rogers would remove his dress shoes and put on a pair of tennis shoes.

“A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” is based on the true story of the real-life friendship between Rogers and journalist Tom Junod after Junod is assigned to write a profile of Rogers. The movie is scheduled for release on Nov. 22.
