Tornado Confirmed In Beaver County
The tornado touched down Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
BEAVER COUNTY, PA — The strongest tornado to roar through Beaver County in 35 years occurred during Wednesday night's severe storms, the National Weather Service confirmed Thursday. The tornado was an EF2 storm, meaning it packed winds of between 111 and 135 mph.
The tornado was the 18th recorded in Beaver County since record keeping began in 1880. The last tornado in the county occurred in June 2017.
Wednesday's tornado did not cause the death and injuries that the 1985 one did, according to the weather service.

The weather service also confirmed a tornado in Leetonia, a small village just west of Beaver County in Ohio.
