Tornado, Severe Storm Risks To Return To Pittsburgh Area
The National Weather Service says another flareup of severe storms and tornadoes in and around Pittsburgh soon could occur.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Just days after five tornadoes touched down in Southwestern Pennsylvania, the threat of severe weather returns on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service says an isolated tornado and severe thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday morning. Damaging winds and large hail also could occur.
According to the weather service, there is still uncertainty about when storms will develop earlier in the afternoon or later afternoon and evening. But thunderstorm chances and the likelihood of severe weather are increasing.

The chance of precipitation is 40 percent during the day on Wednesday and 60 percent on Wednesday evening.
