Toys 'R' Us Returns to PA In Macy's Stores

PENNSYLVANIA — Geoffrey the Giraffe is back, and he has brought a lot of toys with him. Five years after filing for bankruptcy, Toys "R" Us is back in business in Pennsylvania with mini-stores open in Macy's department stores across the state.

All Toys "R" Us stores were shuttered in 2018 following the bankruptcy filing.

In 2021, Macy’s and the company that had purchased the Toys "R" Us brand name, announced a partnership to revive the chain within Macy's locations.

As part of the reopening celebration, parents can bring their children to Toys "R" Us locations to participate in fun activities and to receive free giveaways,this week, Consumer Affairs reported. No purchase is necessary to participate.

Here's what to expect:

• Oct. 18: National Geographic STEM Day. Kids will receive a Mini Fools Gold Kit and a gem.

• Oct. 19: Rainbow Loom Day. Kids can make rainbow loom bracelets to take home.

• Oct. 20: Play-Doh Day. Kids can get Play-Doh giveaways and play with new Play-Doh sets in-store.

• Oct. 21: Pokemon Day. Kids will get Pokemon activity packs to play with in-store.

• Oct. 22: LEGO Day. LEGO sets will be available to play with in-store, and kids will have the chance to receive LEGO-themed giveaways.

Oct. 23: L.O.L. Surprise Day will offer activity and coloring pages, as well as giveaways.
