Trump Schedules Another Pittsburgh Appearance

The president will hold a rally at a Beaver County high school next week.

PITTSBURGH, PA - President Donald Trump will make his second southwestern Pennsylvania appearance in less than a month next week when he holds a Feb. 21 rally at Ambridge Area Senior High School.

He’s also expected to use the visit to stump for Republican congressional candidate Rick Saccone, although Trump’s campaign organization did not reference Saccone is announcing the visit.

“President Trump looks forward to an exciting visit to the Pittsburgh area to deliver the amazing news about our booming economy now that America is once again open for business,“ Michael S. Glassner, executive director of Donald J. Trump for President Inc, said in a statement.

“As more and more businesses across Pennsylvania, and the country, report new bonuses, wage increases, and investments in our economy, this rally will be a great moment to celebrate the success of the President’s historic tax cuts, and look ahead to more great victories for the American people under the President’s fearless leadership.”

Trump has endorsed Saccone, a state representative from Jefferson Hills, in the March 13 special election to fill the seat vacated in October by Tim Murphy’s resignation. Saccone is running against Democrat Conor Lamb, a former Marine and assistant U.S. attorney.

Saccone and most of Pennsylvania's GOP congressional delegation appeared onstage with Trump last month when the president visited H&K Equipment Inc. in North Fayette to tout the merits of the recent federal tax overhaul.

Vice president Mike Pence recently appeared at a fundraising event for Saccone that CNN reported raised $250,000. Saccone also is receiving support from the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, will be in Pittsburgh Tuesday to attend a small business roundtable in Mt. Lebanon.
