Two Victims Of Fatal Lightning Strike Identified
They died Thursday in a Westmoreland County park.
PITTSBURGH, PA - Authorities have identified the two teenagers who died Thursday when they were struck by lightning in Mammoth Park in Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland County. They are Brendan McGowan, 18, of North Huntingdon, and Kaitlyn Rosensteel, 18, of Donora.
The pair were on a small island in the middle of the park lake when they were hit by lightning around 4 p.m. as strong thunderstorms moved through the area.
