U.S. Rep. Summer Lee Prepares To Announce Reelection Bid
A host of prominent national, state and local elected officials will join Lee as she launches her campaign for a second term.

PITTSBURGH, PA — U.S. Rep. Summer Lee is a congressional rookie who has only been in office for eight months, but she is planning ahead toward November 2024. Lee, a Pittsburgh Democrat, will be in Pittsburgh Thursday to announce she will seek a second term.
Lee will formally announce her plans at 6 p.m. event at the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers headquarters on the city's South Side.
With her will be a veritable who's who of Pennsylvania politics. Her host committee consists of U.S. Senators Bob Casey and John Fetterman, Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey, Allegheny County Executive nominee Sara Innamorato, Allegheny County Controller Corey O'Connor, state Sen. Lindsey Williams, state representatives Dan Deasy, Emily Kinkead, La'Tasha Maves, Dan Miller, Mandy Steele and Arvind Vinkat and Allegheny County council members Jack Betkowski, Pat Catena, Bethany Hallam, Robert Palmosina and Anito Prizio, Pittsburgh City Council members Erika Strassburger and Barb Warwick and Westmoreland Democratic chair Michelle McFall.

Lee currently represents Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional District, which includes Pittsburgh, southern and eastern communities and portions of Westmoreland County.
