UPMC Children's Hospital: Here's How It Fared In New National Rankings
U.S. News & World Report has released its annual ratings of the nation's top children's hospitals.

PITTSBURGH, PA — If you have a sick child, go to Lawrenceville. UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh was rated one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country in the 2023-24 U.S. News & World Report rankings released Wednesday.
Of the top 250 children's hospitals nationally, UPMC Children's Hospital was rated eighth.
The medical centers are ranked in 10 specialties: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopaedics, pulmonology and lung surgery, and urology.

UPMC Children’s Hospital was ranked excellent in all pediatric specialty areas and among the top 10 in six specialties: cardiology and heart surgery (eighth, tie); diabetes and endocrinology (fifth); astroenterology and GI surgery (tenth); nephrology (ninth); pulmonology and lung surgery (No. ninth, tie); and urology (ninth).
“This extraordinary honor once again is a testament to the dedication of our talented physicians, nurses, researchers and staff to delivering exceptional pediatric care and compassionate service to our patients and families every day,” Diane Hupp, president of UPMC Children’s, said in a release.
