UPMC Ends Mask Mandate At Most Facilities

PITTSBURGH, PA — UPMC, the region's largest health system, lifted its mask mandate at most facilities on Monday.

But masks still will be required in some patient care areas for people who are vulnerable to COVID-19.

UPMC says COVID-19 protections, including voluntary masking and standard and transmission-based precautions, will remain in effect.

The Allegheny Health Network, the area's second-largest health system, lifted its mask mandate last month.
