Lockdown Lifted At UPMC Shadyside After Nearby Gunfire
The shots were fired on nearby Cypress Street.

PITTSBURGH, PA -UPMC Shadyside was on lockdown Friday morning after gunfire erupted on nearby Cypress Street.
No injuries were reported and police have made no arrests. But the hospital campus, including the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
A lockdown at UPMC Shadyside has been lifted following this morning’s report of a person with a weapon near the campus. UPMC security and law enforcement collaborated to ensure that there was no threat to patients, employees or visitors.
