PITTSBURGH, PA — A Strip District craft distillery, tasting bar and event space has closed after a seven-year run.

Kingfly Spirits on Smallman Street announced on social media Wednesday that it has gone out of business.

"After seven years of many ups, downs and alllll arounds, the team here at Kingfly toasts you for the last time. As of today, we are moving on to the next chapter of life and could not be more grateful for your friendship, patronage, support and celebration of what we did together," the post stated.

"While we started as a craft distillery in 2019, this business quickly became about so much more than what’s in the glass. We evolved into a celebrated events space after the pandemic, when friends and family were eager to once again safely gather. Our team was honored to play host to weddings, retirement parties, wakes, drag & burlesque shows, birthday parties, jazz nights, baby showers, corporate events, nonprofit fundraisers, and so much more.

"So, while spirits is in our name, it was your spirit and passion for what we do that kept us going through all of it. Thank you! If you still have a bottle of Kingfly on your bar, pour one out and raise a glass to our closing team here, as we are going out on a high note with the best professionals, friends and trusted allies a company could ask for in this wild and wonderful business. Cheers to you!"
