'This Is Us': End Date Disclosed For Hit Show Set In Pittsburgh
If you're a fan of the show, you're on borrowed time. The program's showrunner has revealed when it's likely to end.

PITTSBURGH, PA - This news could cause fans of the NBC’s hit tearjerker “This Is Us” to break out their hankies yet again: the show’s producers have revealed when the show likely will end.
The show, which is filmed in Los Angeles but set in Pittsburgh, is in its third season but won’t be on the air indefinitely. Showrunner Isaac Aptaker told Deadline Hollywood that the program’s creative team is planning roughly “about three seasons in the future” for the grand finale.
“From day one, (show creator) Dan Fogelman came in with his master plan for the big picture stuff of the show and said, ‘I think this is where we end up. I think this is what I know. Let’s figure out the rest together,’” Aptaker said. “So all of the writers and the actors really know everything.”

Fogelman spent his childhood growing up in Bethel Park, where the fictional Pearson siblings were raised. The show has referenced the Steelers on numerous occasions, as well as long-gone locales such as Three Rivers Stadium and ones that remain such as Schenley Park.
“This Is Us” premiered in September 2016.
