PITTSBURGH, PA — Nearly 18 months after Eat'n Park closed its location on Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill, the vacant space is on the verge of being filled.

KPot, an all-you-can-eat dining experience that merges Asian hot pot and Korean barbecue flavors, has posted signs of its impending arrival on the building, the Pittsburgh Business Times reported. Further evidence is on the restaurant chain's website, which already lists the Murray Avenue address and notes that KPot is coming soon.

The website describes the restaurant as"hot pot and Korean barbecue modernized with a full bar and nightlife atmosphere. (But) Kpot is mostly about gathering together for lively conversation over a feast of good food. "

Hot pot is an Asian cooking method, prepared with a simmering pot of soup stock at the dining table, containing a variety of East Asian food-stuffs and ingredients. While the hot pot is simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at table in a manner similar to fondue.

After a decades-long run, Eat'n Park closed the Squirrel Hill location in January 2022.
