Verdict Reached In Shooting Death Of Off-Duty Pittsburgh-Area Cop
A Pittsburgh man charged with killing an off-duty suburban police officer has learned the jury's decision. Get the details here.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A self-defense claim proved unsuccessful Friday for a Greenfield man who was found guilty of killing an off-duty Oakdale police officer in a road rage incident.
A jury found Kevin McSwiggen, 42, of Greenfield, guilty of third-degree murder in the July 2022 death of Charles Stipetich Jr., 23. McSwiggen also was found guilty of a charge of recklessly endangering another person.
Stipetich was shot to death outside of his residence on Fountain Street in Blawnox after McSwiggen became angry over Stipetich allegedly cutting him off in traffic on Route 28.
