Veteran KDKA-TV Reporter Sues Station
He's accusing the station of age discrimination and retaliation.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Veteran KDKA-TV reporter Dave Crawley has filed a federal lawsuit against the station and parent company CBS alleging age discrimination and retaliation. It's the second lawsuit Crawley has filed related to injuries he suffered in 2017 at the Three Rivers Regatta after plunging into the Allegheny River while doing a story on the Red Bull Flugtag event.
The federal lawsuit alleges Crawley, 72, he suffered a traumatic brain injury, damaged his diaphragm and has to have his spleen removed after riding a homemade flying machine off a 22-foot pier. The federal lawsuit accuses KDKA and CBS of aggressively fighting his workers' compensation claim and retaliating against him by not renewing his contract.
Crawley stopped working a few weeks after the incident after collapsing while covering a story. He has not been on the air since August 2017.
