Veteran Pittsburgh Radio Personality Leaves Station After 25 Years

A longtime member of one of Pittsburgh's most popular radio stations is moving to another station. Get the details here.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Val Porter's voice has been heard on WDVE-FM for a quarter of a century, but no more. As of Tuesday, she joined 3WS morning show with Jonny Hartwell.

Both stations are owned by iHeartRadio.

A Venango County native, Porter also has served as WDVE music director.

Porter's LinkedIn profile states that she had been with WDVE since 1999. She had been a presence on the station's morning show since 2001.

Porter also has worked for WRKU-FM 95 K-Rock in Youngstown.
