Veteran Pittsburgh TV Reporter Dies

A Pittsburgh reporter who provided awarded-winning coverage at two local stations for more than three decades, has died.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Former WTAE-TV and KDKA-TV reporter Stu Emry has died. He was 88.

Mr. Emry, of South Park, had a broadcasting career that spanned more than 30 years. He covered stories ranging from chemical spills and train derailments to high-profile murder trials and political scandals. He won awards for his work, including one for his coverage of the nuclear reactor disaster at Three Mile Island near Harrisburg.
