Warhol's 90th, 'Beauty & The Beast' Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events
Here's your Patch guide of the best non-regatta activities around town.

PITTSBURGH, PA - If you think the EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta is the only major activity around town this weekend, think again. Plenty of alternatives exist if you don’t want to see high-speed boats, anything that floats competitions or food trucks at the point.
Just across the Andy Warhol Bridge from Downtown is, appropriately enough, the Andy Warhol Museum. On Saturday, a celebration of what would have been the avant garde artist’s 90th birthday will take place.
The entrance space will feature cupcakes, a photo booth and silkscreen demonstrations. There also will be gallery talks by Warhol director Patrick Moore and chief curator Jose Carlos Diaz. At 5 p.m. at Warhol’s grave at St. John Cemetery in Bethel Park, there will be a ceremony that will include a Warhol weather balloon launch, birthday cake, performances and music.
