Warrant Issued For Deadly Monroeville Mall Shooting Suspect

PITTSBURGH, PA — An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in a deadly shooting in a Monroeville Mall parking lot last week. Allegheny County police are looking for Lawrence Murphy, 20, who is believed to have ties to the Braddock area.

Murphy is being charged with criminal homicide and weapons violations. He is accused of fatally shooting Saheed Gayle, 20, in a mall lot near the Party City entrance.

Anyone that sees him is being asked to call 911 immediately, and anyone that may have information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Allegheny County Police tip line at 1-833-255-8477.
