PA Man Receives 3,000-Year Prison Sentence
A Greene County judge imposed the extraordinarily lengthy sentence on 44-year-old Matthew Perry.

WAYNESBURG, PA — A Greene County man has been sentenced to 3,000 years in prison after being convicted in November on more than 13,000 felony counts of sex crimes against children - including 2,190 counts of rape of a child under the age of 13 and 2,190 counts of incest of a minor.
Matthew Perry, 44, of Greensboro, will not be eligible for parole until 3523.
“I am proud to announce Matthew Perry would have to live for 3000 years in order to pay his debt to society,” District Attorney David
Russo said.

Russo said the case was initially filed by his predecessor and Perry had been charged with only one count of rape of a child and the other offenses. Russo reviewed the case after becoming district attorney and decided to charge one count of rape of a child for every day the child was raped. The child was raped at least once a day for six years.
Perry already was serving a 40-to-80 year prison sentence for a previous conviction on charges that included child rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of a minor. Those charges involved another preteen girl.
