Western PA School Superintendent Suspended

A Western Pennsylvania school district superintendent also faces an upcoming termination hearing.

BEAVER FALLS, PA — The Blackhawk school board on Thursday voted to suspend Superintendent Robert Postupac, who also faces an upcoming termination hearing.

The move came after the Pennsylvania Ethics Commission last month fined Postupac and Moon Area School District board member Mark Scappe for violating state ethics laws. The men conspired to trade jobs for their children in their respective districts, according to a May 16 ethics commission report.

Postupac and Scappe were fined $750 each.

Postupac's termination hearing will occur on June 22, Beaver County Radio reported.
