Wild Weather Day In Store For Pittsburgh
Mother Nature is having a field day in Pittsburgh. Find out here what you can expect today.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Wet snow triggered dozens of school delays and caused treacherous road conditions throughout Western Pennsylvania Tuesday morning. The weather for the rest of the day promises to be wild.
The National Weather Service expects heavy rain for much of the day, with as much as an inch of precipitation occurring.
Another major issue is high winds. The weather service expects gusts of as high as 45 mph in the Pittsburgh area. East and south of the city, a high wind warning has been issued with gusts of up to 60 mph anticipated.

A wind advisory for the Pittsburgh metro area remains in effect until 7 p.m.

The good news is that there will be no significant snow accumulation today. The bad news: Sharply colder temperatures will arrive over the weekend and are expected to remain for much of next week.
