PITTSBURGH, PA - Homicide charges were filed Friday against a woman who allegedly abducted her boyfriend's 2-year-old daughter in September.

Sharena Nancy, 25, is charged with criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse in the disappearance of Nalani Johnson. She previously was charged with kidnapping a minor, interference with custody of children and concealment of the whereabouts of a child.

Nalani's body was discovered in Pine Ridge Park near Blairsville, Indiana County, three days after Nancy allegedly abducted her in Penn Hills. Her body was still in her car seat.

Nalani's body was discovered hours after the disclosure that Nancy and Paul Johnson, Nalani's father were romantically involved. According to police, Nancy had an argument with a friend of Johnson's prior to her driving off with the girl.

Gladys Duarte, Nalani's mother, had filed a protection from abuse order against Johnson in April. In the filing, Duarte identified the two-year-old as a "protected person" and alleged Johnson had admitted to "almost killing Nalani."
