A woman has been charged with homicide following the death of a six-week-old baby in Pittsburgh.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A woman babysitting six-week old twins has been charged with killing one of them and injuring the other.

According to court documents, Nicole Virzi, 29, of San Diego, called 911 shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday from an apartment in the 6000 block of Walnut Street in Shadyside to report an infant had fallen from a bouncer and had a bump on his head.

Virzi told police she had gone to get the baby a bottle and found him on the floor screaming when she returned.

The baby's twin, whose name was not immediately available, was examined and found to have scratches, bruises, swelling and redness, according to court documents.
