Woman Critically Injured In Downtown Pittsburgh Attacked By Own Dog

The woman was attacked early Friday and found outside of a Downtown Pittsburgh garage.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A woman found critically injured early Friday outside of a Downtown Pittsburgh parking garage was attacked by her own dog, police said.

Police were dispatched to Cherry Way at the Boulevard of the Allies at 4:20 a.m. for reports of a seriously injured female lying on the sidewalk outside of the garage. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police initially said a possible crime seen was found inside the garage. But video evidence showed that the victim sustained her injuries as a result of the dog's attack and a series of falls related to the attack.
