Woman Shot On Downtown Pittsburgh Street
Gunfire erupted Tuesday on one of Downtown Pittsburgh's busiest streets.
PITTSBURGH, PA — The spate of shootings in the city continued Tuesday, as a woman was shot at the Downtown intersection of Smithfield Street and Fourth Avenue.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said that police arrived shortly after 12:10 p.m., they found a woman with a gunshot wound to her lower leg. She was taken to a nearby hospital and was reported in stable condition.
According to police, the shooting occurred as two people were involved in a dispute on Smithfield. The victim was walking past the two people arguing when she was shot.
