Woman Shot Outside Of Pittsburgh Nightclub

PITTSBURGH, PA — A woman was shot early Monday in the city's Homewood section.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials, at 1:35 a.m., police were dispatched to a 14-round ShotSpotter notification in the 900 block of North Lang Avenue.

According to the public safety report, responders located a female victim at the Sunoco gas station a short distance away after she got in a car and left the area. She suffered a through- and-through gunshot wound to the arm.

Pittsburgh EMS transported her to a nearby hospital in stable condition. She had been standing in a parking lot across the street from a nightclub located in the 7100 block of Frankstown Avenue when the shots were fired.

It's unclear what led to the shooting.

It's also unknown if the woman had been in the unidentified nightclub prior to the shooting.

The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.

There are no suspects or arrests at this time.
